Hello, and welcome to The Auckland Blues Rugby Football Team Hall of Fame.

Feel free to leisurely stroll through its hallowed corridors.

Marvel at the life-sized busts of the legendary inductees.

The Auckland Blues Rugby Football Team Hall of Fame is located in sunny, downtown Onehunga (pictured below).

Please stay out of the pool. It is for Hall inductees only.

“ I don't divide rugby, art and the Auckland Blues; to me they are one. ”

Daniel Carter (Auckland Blues)

Daniel Carter won it all as an Auckland Blue. He won the Super Rugby Championship numerous times. His exploits as an Auckland Blue will never be forgotten. Tales of his matchday exploits will be passed down orally from the wise tribal elders of Onehunga to the little village children of Onehunga as the youngsters, perhaps the next generation of Auckland Blues legends, sit wide-eyed with wonder at the feet of the wise tribal elders of Onehunga.

Daniel Carter was enshrined into The Auckland Blues Hall of Fame on the very same day he retired from rugby, February 20th, 2021.

Isaia Toeava.

An easy unanimous first-ballot selection into The Auckland Blues Hall of Fame.

Oh, what could have been if the great man hadn't limped off injured during that 2012 Super Rugby semi-final in South Africa. He was carving up all over the shop in the first half as the mighty Auckland Blues smoothly negotiated the choppy waters of their ascension back to their rightful place atop world rugby.

Then fate dealt its vicious, vicious, vicious hand, Isaia limped off injured in that fateful semi and with it the Blues franchise tumbled into a decade of despair, ignominy, shame, disrepair, disillusionment, grief, more ignominy, debilitation, self-hate, self-doubt, Benji f***king Marshall, some other horrific shit, Sonny Bill f***king Williams, shithead board members, more grief, some more despair, an added heaping helping of disillusionment, and then, finally, the light at the end of the tunnel, the arrival of an actual rugby football coach named "Leon Mcdonald".

Isaia Toeava. The Man. The Myth. The first ballot inductee into The Auckland Blues Hall of Fame.

Jerome Kaino.

Jerome Kaino played a club record 612 consecutive matches for the Auckland Blues.

It is a record that will never, ever, ever, ever be broken.

Jerome Kaino is a first-ballot inductee into the Auckland Blues Hall of Fame.

Liaki Moli, The Wild Man of Borneo.

At first glance, this player could be seen as somewhat of a contentious entry into The Auckland Blues Hall of Fame. There are whispers, strong whispers, persistent whispers, that Liaki's mum might be on the selection committee. I don't know. Do you want to find out if it's true or not? Do you want to cross the mother of Liaki Moli, The Wild Man of Borneo? The ball is very much in your court, Mr Tough Guy.

Michael Jones.

Michael Jones. The Jones boy. Who could ever forget him carving up the hallowed turf of Eden Park back in the 1980's? WHO? Today's children perhaps. Michael Jones. The Auckland Blue. The Auckland Blue now enshrined forever in The Auckland Blues Hall of Fame.

King Carlos.

King Carlos was inducted into The Hall on the very same fateful night back in 2004 when he flipped off the 3-fingered faithful in Christchurch after having just calmly popped over the conversion to his 105-metre solo try to win the match.

There were no ballots for King Carlos.

No selection process.

No eligibility period.

Instant induction.
